  • No. We provide well-maintained, vintage and modern manual knitting machines for all students to use during in-person studio classes.

  • Yes! Our Introduction to Machine Knitting course assumes zero prior textile experience. We start from the absolute basics: how to cast on, how to move the carriage smoothly, and how to fix a dropped stitch.

  • Just your enthusiasm! We provide the machines, a selection of practice yarn, and all necessary tools (transfer tools, latch tools, and weights).

    For some of our garment-making classes, we may ask you to bring a garment that you like the fit of.

  • We currently teach only in person; however, we are excited to announce that the online academy will open in 2027!
